Compare the same scope of care
A useful estimate identifies the procedure or combination of procedures and the services included. Ask whether the amount covers the surgeon, anesthesia, facility, follow-up, garments or supplies, and any other expected charges. Where an item is not included, request an estimate or an explanation of how it is billed.
If two plans use different techniques or include different areas, the totals alone are not a useful comparison. Ask the office to describe the scope of each option in writing.
Read financing as a separate agreement
The official financing page lists Cherry, CareCredit, Alphaeon and PatientFi, and says the practice accepts major credit cards. Availability on the page does not establish an individual applicant’s eligibility or payment terms.
- What deposit is due, and when is the balance payable?
- What are the cancellation and rescheduling terms?
- Does financing change any practice fees or payment deadlines?
- What interest, fees, promotional conditions and total repayment apply to the lender’s offer?
Clarify later treatment and follow-up costs
Ask which visits are included, for how long, and how additional treatment or revision is assessed and charged. Keep the surgical estimate and any lender agreement together so that the cost of care and the cost of borrowing are both clear.
