About Brazilian Butt Lift
Fat transfer to the buttocks using fat collected through liposuction from other areas.
Fat transfer and donor-area contouring
The practice describes a Brazilian butt lift as transferring fat to the buttocks after liposuction from other areas. Its official page discusses the abdomen, hips and thighs as possible donor areas and describes assessment of available donor fat. Despite the name, this description is not a skin-removal buttock lift.
Safety and recovery questions
The consultation should address the specific risks of gluteal fat transfer, including fat embolism, as well as the donor-area procedure. Ask the surgeon to explain the planned technique, monitoring and facility arrangements. Obtain practical instructions for sitting, sleeping, compression and travel from the treating team. If abdominal surgery is proposed at the same time, discuss how the combined recovery would be managed before arranging work or home support.
